"Come near to God and He will come near to you." James 4:8
Each morning I pray that God would reveal Himself to my husband, my kids and myself. Some days I am not disappointed. God pauses for me or my family in a small whisper or a mighty way. Other days, I feel nothing.
Why do I feel nothing some days? Is it because God only reveals Himself sometimes? Does He only speak to me or show me something a few days a week? No. It is because I am not paying attention. I get so consumed in my daily activities that I forget to watch for God. You see, when we ask God to reveal Himself to us, He does. It might be in a big blessing. Maybe just feeling His presence in the blowing wind. A friend might share a testimony that blesses you. In whatever way, He does reveal Himself to you when you ask.
This morning my prayer was, "God help me to be so greatly aware of Your presence that when You reveal Yourself to me, I can not help but see it." I want to be so conscience of God that there is no possible way for me to miss Him today. I want to feel Him all day, not just in my quiet time.
My prayer for everyone reading this post today is that you will be so aware of God's presence that when and how He chooses to reveal Himself to you, you can not miss it.
