"Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful." Joshua 1:8
It is that simple. The Bible commands us here in Joshua to keep the Word on our lips. We are to read it and mediate on it. Study it and do what is written. Then we have that promise of being prosperous and successful. It isn't hard to interpret. It is right there.
Are we doing it? Are we really studying the Word day and night? Are we obeying it fully? I love reading the Bible. But I know I could read and study more. I try to obey it. But I know I could do better. Ask yourself if you are reading God's Word and studying it enough. If you are giving all of yourself to Him in this way. We all have room for improvement.
Dig deeper in His Word. Go farther in your study. Give your all to God!
Sweet Blessings~
Yes I have allowed busyness and tiredness to keep me from diggin into my Bible like I was. That is when I really need to consult God on what I need to say "no" to in my life because nothing is more important than spending precious time in his Word. Thanks for this encouragement and conviction!
ReplyDeleteIf we want to be prosperous and successful in the Kingdom, His Word should be on our mind and in our heart.
ReplyDeleteAmen sister, I want to go deeper in to His word, you're right there's always room for improvement.
ReplyDeleteI've just recently discovered true Bible study. I love it. I'm addicted to it! Finally, something to be addicted to that doesn't cause guilt and remorse!
ReplyDeleteYes! I love God's word, but there is always room for improvement.

Excellent reminder. We all have room for improvement when it comes to immersing ourselves in God's Word. The next verse in Joshua is one of my favorites as well. :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a Blessed Day Jenifer!
