When the music fades
And all is stripped away
And I simply come
Longing just to bring
Something that's of worth
That will bless your heart
I'll bring You more than a song
For a song in itself
Is not what You have required
You search much deeper within
Through the ways things appear
You're looking into my heart
I'm coming back to the heart of worship
And it's all about YouAll about You, Jesus
I'm sorry Lord for the thing I've made it
When it's all about YouIt's all about You Jesus
King of endless worth
No one could express
How much You deserve
Though I'm weak and poor
All I have is Yours
Every single breath
Something that's of worth
That will bless your heart
I'll bring You more than a song
For a song in itself
Is not what You have required
You search much deeper within
Through the ways things appear
You're looking into my heart
I'm coming back to the heart of worship
And it's all about YouAll about You, Jesus
I'm sorry Lord for the thing I've made it
When it's all about YouIt's all about You Jesus
King of endless worth
No one could express
How much You deserve
Though I'm weak and poor
All I have is Yours
Every single breath
I'll bring You more than just a song
For a song in itself
Is not what You have required
You search much deeper within
Through the way things appear
You're looking into my heart
I'm coming back to the heart of worship
And it's all about You
All about You, Jesus
I'm sorry Lord for the thing I've made it
When it's all about You
It's all about You Jesus
Its all about You
Jesus
The heart of worhsip is all about Jesus. About full and complete surrender to Him. It's not about showing off. It's not about partial surrender. It's not even about the music. It's about praising Him, giving it all up to Him.
What has been at the herat of your worship?
Sweet Blessings~
Oh my... I had not seen this one yet, that's great! Sadly true for many. Heart of Worship is one of my absolute favorite songs! At the heart of my worship has been letting the Truth of His sovereignty sink in to me. Embracing that He is in control when I feel so out of control... when I do that I relax because I know that I am in His hands and it's the safest place to be :)Great post Jenifer!
ReplyDeleteJennifer, great post. When we look at biblical examples of worship, they didn't even need a band or sing for that matter; they just fell at His feet saying, "You alone are worthy!" Any worship, musical or otherwise, that doesn't have humility and complete surrender and submission to God isn't really worship at all.
ReplyDeleteWe should worship God with the way we live, not just the songs we sing. I want to live my life in worship to my King. Great post!
ReplyDeleteWow! I never saw that video, sad but so many live that way. Casual. Sundays should just be the gravy added on top of the worship and study done during the week. Not that I always get it right but I know that's what God wants from me. Instead of what I think about my worship, I try to think about what God thinks of my worship... That keeps my mind and heart in alignment with His! Great one!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right! We so often Worship God on Sunday and not worship God in our everyday life. We need to worship Him in all areas of our life.
ReplyDeleteI never enver want my worship to be just about my singing but focused soley on my King. Great post thank you!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen that video before. it is something I'm going to share. Its true though. It is so true. Thanks for this jenifer :)
ReplyDeleteStopping by from the Ultimate Blogging Bash!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great post, and such a wonderful reminder as to what real worship is, and what it looks like. I also hadn't seen the video but it's something I'm going to share. Thank you for sharing!

Worship isn't an activity, it's a way of living our lives that glorify our Lord and Savior. For those who practice "Sunday Christianity", they're missing out on an amazing, intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father... There's so much more!
ReplyDeleteGreat post Jenifer!
Have a Blessed Day!
It's all about HIM. I hear you my friend, we sang that song in two different places on Sunday and it was really speaking to me, and you are repeating it today, I'm listening.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jenifer.
Hugs, Cindy
Hi Jenifer - so true. I agree with Lisa too here that we should worship Him with how we live our lives too.
ReplyDeleteGod bless
Tracy
love this! it really is so true-
ReplyDeleteMost times our worship is based on our circumstances...may it never be! Only true, heartfelt worship of our Mighty Creator should leave our lips...if we don't mean it, don't say it!
