"Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and
lean not unto your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge Him and
He shall direct your path."
Proverbs 3:5-6
Too often we try to do things in our own ability. Lisa Bevere says this: When we stop struggling in our own ability, our true strength is revealed. God is not witholding strength from you; He's bestowing it. Whatever it is that you are struggling with, whatever you are trying to do alone, stop fighting. Give it to God and trust fully in Him. Let Him make your path straight.
Sweet Blessings~

Hi Jenifer - there are a lot of post lately on not doing things in our own strength and this scripture just confirms that. Thank you for linking with me today. I really appreciate the support and you bless me always

Great post and beautiful picture. I can persevere not in my own strength but His!
ReplyDeleteFollowing His path today! Praying to follow it, wholeheartedly, everday!
ReplyDeleteHappy WFW!
Thanks for the reminder that we need to give God our problems and not try and solve them our selves. Every time we think we have the power to fix something in our life, we seem to mess it up worse. I am glad God understands and is thier to help us, if we just give our struggles to Him.
ReplyDeleteBut I can do it all on my own.... right? ;) I know I can't... but man I end up trying all of the time. Thanks for this :)
ReplyDeleteI don't want to struggle along in my own strength... I want his power to persevere! Blessings!
ReplyDeleteWe have such similar thoughts today, Jenifer. Our pictures are even similar. :) This is great encouragement and one of my favorite verses.
ReplyDeleteSo true I need this reminder over and over. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYES!! I'm stopping by in the afternoon and it's such an incredibly well timed WORD!!
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU!
peace,
lori
Love the photo...and you paired it perfectly with one of my favorite passages!
ReplyDeleteHe is our Source of strength, we should just rest in it...
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite verses from Proverbs Jenifer, and I love the quote you selected as well.
ReplyDeleteHave a Blessed Day!
Hello my friend,
ReplyDeleteI love that verse, my all time favorite probably. I am so glad that He does give me strength when I don't have any.
I have been busy lately with our youngest daughter who is visiting right now, so I'm not around much right now.
Hugs, Cindy
Why do we always try to do it ourselves first? I've been trying to ask God to help me first...but so often in moment I'm trying myself first. I need to trust Him more!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Pamela
A great WFW, thank you.
ReplyDeleteI constantly need to remember to let go and let God!
ReplyDeleteSometimes though, I wait for God to do everything and ignore the bit He wants me to do. As soon as I obey Him, He makes everything else fall into place and I always wonder why I take so long to be obedient to Him!
