When Tim Tebow wore John 3:16 on his eye black to a certain game, over 92 million people looked that verse up on Google. That means that over 92 million people heard the Gospel just because one man took a stand.
One man.
One man made a very bold, yet very simple move that caused millions of people to hear the Gospel. Wow.
You and I may not have the fan base as that of an NLF quarterback. But we can still make a stand. Even if we reach only one person for the Kingdom, it is well worth the effort. You never know when your small, simple act may cause someone to hear the Gospel or search for Christ.
What can you do today to make a stand for Christ?

I saw that report too and I was amazed. It really surprised me that 92 million people didn't know what that verse says. I can just assume that everyone knows John 3:16 - isn't that sad? I want to be bold in my faith and take a stand for Christ!
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with Lisa, at first I was shocked to know that many people had to look up John 3:16-but there are over 7 billion people in the world now so I guess 92 million isn't all that big of a number :)
ReplyDeleteI love that story too, so inspiring! I want to at the very least live Christ out-loud in my actions. At most I want to see the opportunities He places before me and seize them! Blessings!
ReplyDeleteAnd while we obviously don't have the "reach" of an NFL player, every voice speaking out for Christ has the opportunity to touch other peoples' lives. :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a Blessed Day!
My first thought, too, was "You mean 92 million people don't know what john 3:16 says?" God sure is using this young man. I'm glad he's obeying.
ReplyDeleteWhat an inspiration! Glad I found you through Mothers on a Mission!
ReplyDeleteShannon, welcome! Nice to "meet" you! :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with all of you, it was amazing to me that 92 million people had not heard this verse before. I mean this is the verse that is everywhere! But as Allison mentioned, this world has 7 billion people so I guess 92 million isn't as big a number as I thought.
Such a truthful post.
