Today in my quiet time, I read in John. I have very likely posted this verse before on a Word Filled Wednesday, but I felt like I needed to post it again. This verse is the very foundation of love. It is where love begins, where we find love, where we learn to give love. This is true love.
"For God so loved the world
that He gave His one and only Son
that whoever believes in Him
shall not perish but have eternal life."
John 3:16
Today, bask in His perfect love. Reflect on His sacrifice. Spread His God News.

No matter how much of the Bible I read or how many passages I learn, this one is always my favorite. To imagine loving someone so completely that you're willing to give your child, yourself, to save them! Amazing!

ReplyDeleteAmen, I love this verse, it is the beginning and end of everything, if we ever begin to doubt God or His love for us, this verse quiets those doubts, He gave His son because He loves us that much.
