Worry implies that we don't quite trust God is big enough or powerful enough to take care of what's happening in our lives.
You see, I tend to worry. I don't mean to. I don't want to. But, often I do.
I say God is big. I say God is powerful. I thought I believed that. I do believe that.
So why do I let worry come in? I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I can count on God. I know that God will never leave me. I know God is always by my side. I know that God promises in His Word to take care of me according to His riches in glory. Those are solid promises. There is no room for doubt there.
When we are facing something, anything at all, we can fully trust in God to take care of it. No matter how big or small it seems, He is there. It's a promise. When worry tries to sneak in, let's commit to turning to the Word of God and turning to prayer and worship. Let's fully rely on God. He has our backs. Always.
Sweet Blessings~

Linking up after you at Thought Provoking Thursday - I totally agree with what you wrote here. (And I love the book "Crazy Love", too!) It is so easy to slip into the habit of worry, and not even recognize it for what it really is. Thanks for the clear reminder ...
ReplyDeleteSo true... it creeps in and tries to slumber our faith. I'm in the midst of some things that can be worrisome, and rightly so, but His word trumps all. Clinging to that. Thank you for sharing that too... I find when I post these truths, they uplift me in the writing as much as anyone who may be reading :)
ReplyDeleteJenifer - I have heard a lot about this book. I plan to get a copy and read it. I love the quote and your photo is absolutely beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Joan
I also want to thank you for linking with the Grace Cafe these past few months. I look forward to reading more of your posts in the future.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouraging post, it blessed me. I read that book a few weeks ago :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE this book!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right, Jenifer. Worry implies exactly that. Hugs, Cindy
