Have you ever gone to pray and the words seem stuck? I have. Whether it was fear, sadness or just a dry time in my walk with God, the words just stalled.
I can remember countless times I wanted to pray and just couldn't. Several years ago my grandmother had a seizure and was rushed by ambulance to the emergency room. My mom and I got the call as we were headed to Bible study, we quickly turned the car in the direction of the hospital. I remember sitting in the car and then in the waiting room and the words to pray just wouldn't come. But I repeated the name of Jesus over and over and over. Jesus knew the need. He knew my heart. He knew what was going on. He didn't need the fancy words uttered in prayer. He just needed me to turn to Him, and I did by saying His name.
Times I didn't feel close to Jesus, yet when I called on His name, there He was right beside me. Times I was so burdened down or sad that I just couldn't speak, yet when I called His name, He answered with His loving arms.
When you don't know what to say, just say Jesus.
