What's Your Season?

I love spring. I mean I really love spring. My favorite season is a toss up between fall and spring. But after months of freezing cold temps, snow and being house bound, I crave spring something fierce. I fully believe that I should wake up on December 26th and see green leaves on trees that stand over green grass as birds chirp. And flip flops. Flip flop weather should definitely come on December 26th.

But that is not what God had planned. At least not for my region.

To everything there is a season.

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven.
Ecclesiastes 3:1

While winter is not my season of choice, God intended a time for it. He perfectly planned the seasons and where they would be and what would happen. I have to trust that He has a greater purpose for all of it.

Just like in the seasons of life. We will go through seasons that are hard, and definitely not our season of choice. But we can trust that He has a greater purpose.

Trust in the One who created it all. The One who holds it all in the palm of His hands.

Review:
Bunny's First Spring is a tale of a baby bunny discovering the cycle of the seasons as a metaphor for
Christ's death and resurrection. It's a helpful resource for explaining the power of God's gift of Christ's resurrection to little hearts.

If you are looking for a new book for your child's collection, or beginning to plan Easter baskets, you should check out Bunny's First Spring.

  2. Maybe this will remind me to stop complaining about the cold. Even winter has a purpose. :)
