My Favorite Quiet Time Tools

A couple months ago we had the Women in God's Word series.

5 days and 5 different women sharing our real life, no filter, no editing, and sometimes messy quiet times. {To check out the series, click here.} Today I wanted to follow that up by sharing my favorite tools for my quiet time.

I mention in the video that I have my quiet time in a chair in my living room. Can I just tell you that I desperately long to have a prayer closet, an actual prayer closet!? Or at the least a prayer bench in a secret corner of my home. But at this time that is not the case. One day...

You don't always have to have 1 place to be. More times than I can count, my prayers have lead me to be up walking around my home or on the floor on my knees. My chair is where I start. Where I read my Bible and write in my journal, yet it's not always where I end up. So if you feel lead to stand in the middle of the room with hands raised or outside your child's bedroom door laying on the floor face down, do it. It's not about location, it's about talking and listening to the Father.

Here is a list of my favorite tools and where to find them.

•Our Daily Bread has a daily devotional on their website and in quarterly print.
She Reads Truth
•She Reads Truth has devotions on their blog and an app with optional study packs.
Women Living Well
•Women Living Well has Bible studies with optional study journals.

Tools:
Bible study bag from Thirty One
NIV Life Study Bible
Choose Gratitude Blessings Journal
