Beautiful Freedom

I am a sinner.

A sinner saved by grace.

Oh friends, when I think back over my life, I think of all of the sins I have committed. All of the people I have hurt. All of the people I have let down. Of disappointing Daddy God. My sins are great in number and it deeply hurts my heart to know of all I've done.

But God.

If we confess our sins,

He is faithful and just

to forgive us our sins and

to cleanse us from unrighteousness.

1 John 1:9

Though my sins are many, though I've hurt and disappointed many, I am redeemed. Redeemed by a great God. The Bible tells us that all we have to do is confess our sins and the Father will forgive us.

Friends, we each sin every single day. No, we are not murdering someone or cheating or stealing every day. But we all sin every day and sin is sin. Is our attitude that of God? If no, we've sinned. Are we obeying God when He says to help someone? If no, we've sinned. We see an attractive person and give as second look. We've sinned. Are we tithing our first-fruits to God? If no, we've sinned. Are we overeating? Even that is a sin. No person is without sin. We sin every day. I sin every day.

For all have sinned

and fallen short

of the glory of God.

Romans 3:23

Though we have all sinned, all we have to do is turn it over to God. He forgives and sets us free! No more guilt, no more shame, no bondage. Just beautiful freedom!

Whatever is holding you back, determine today to turn it over to God and ask forgiveness. Repent and turn fully away from that sin. Then live in freedom!
