What do you think of when you see the American flag?

I've always seen it as a symbol of freedom, patriotism and unity. I've always been proud of the flag. Lately, however, many see the United States flag as a reminder that our country is in turmoil. The killings, the loss, the selfishness, the broken laws, the pain, even fear of the future. We definitely have all of that.

The only hope this country has, is in God. The only hope we have, is to put Him first.

How many times have we said, "God bless America"? We continually say that we want God to bless us, yet we disobey His commands. How dare we ask Him to bless us in one breath then turn around in the next and disobey? How dare we ask Him to bless us then turn our backs on what is going on? It's time to take a stand. It's time to truly put God first. In order to do this, it's time to hit our knees and hit them hard. We need to daily pray for our country, the leaders, the lawmakers, our first responders (police, fire department, EMS), our teachers, our kids, our families, our churches, for every single thing. We need to intercede on behalf of our country. We need to teach our kids to intercede for our country. Then we need to obey the laws set before us and teach our kids to be law abiding citizens. We need to stop turning our back on evil and start fighting against it.

I am tired of the enemy trying to take what does not belong to him. I am ready to put God in America again. Are you?
