My husband and I both have developed this deep love and passion for the Word of God. We firmly feel that every person needs and deserves their own Bible. Because of this, we keep extra Bibles in our home and in our church office. If anyone, even a child, needs a Bible, we give them one. As a children's pastor I am continually teaching my kids at church how important the Bible is. Next week we are even starting a 12 week series all about the books of the Bible, I can't wait for this.
When I heard that She Reads Truth was developing their own She Reads Truth Bible, I was beyond excited. I've followed the SRT studies for several years and I am always blessed and encouraged with their devotions as well as their passion for God's Word. Partner my love for the Bible and my love for SRT and this new Bible had me completely geeking out!
Just look at that Bible, isn't it gorgeous! This Bible is, simply put, incredible. Some of my favorite features are:
• Art at the beginning of each book
• Maps
• Timelines
• Color coded subdivisions
• Devotions scattered throughout the Bible
• Reading plans
• The amazing covers
Two things I didn't like about this Bible, which are just my personal preferences, is this Bible is not Red Lettered and pronouns for God, Jesus and Holy Spirit are not capitalized (this one is actually hard to find in a Bible). But the things I loved about the SRT Bible pressed me to get one and I am so glad I did. My 19 year old daughter chose the Gray Linen, my 15 year old daughter chose the Poppy Linen, and I chose a Poppy Linen and the Brown Genuine Leather. Yes, yes, I got 2 for myself. I told you, my husband and I are obsessed with Bibles!

ReplyDeleteI do read my Bible daily. I love to prayer journal and I love to work through Bible studies.
ReplyDeleteI don't read my Bible daily but I want to get into that habit so that I can grow in my walk with God and draw closer to Him!! My life has been hectic and has a lot of pressures/stresses right now so it's hard to find time to myself to read the Word.
ReplyDeleteYes I do read His word everyday. I have truly fell in love with God's word and it is more precious to me than ever before.
ReplyDeleteI fail with keeping it consistent and try to keep finding the best time to do. I yearn to do it everyday and need to.
ReplyDeleteI love to Read God's Word Daily. Sometimes I am only able to get a verse or two for that day then there are days that I just stay in his word.
ReplyDeleteI love to have my daily quiet time with God. I also love to collect bibles. I feel like different translations allow me to dig deeper into the scriptures.
ReplyDeleteI always kinda go off and on on my daily Bible reading, I have good spans and then I slack and then I am back on. Right now I am back on fortunately and hoping it will be more of a daily thing, I found I can read while nursing and I can get through a lot throughout the day! I know it will change more and more as she nurses less and less though so I need to look for ways to keep my reading up!
ReplyDeleteMy crazy schedule & exhaustion often keeps me from opening my Bible on a daily basis. Sometimes when my eyes are to tired to focus I fall asleep listening to sermon podcasts or stream Moody Radio.
ReplyDeleteI do not read my bible everyday. I am working mom of three and it is very hard to find time for anything. I really do love to read but have found myself having difficulty focusing when I sit down to read something. Sometimes I have to read it more than once to allow it to soak in what I am reading. At times I sit down to read and end up falling asleep. I have made a determination that this year I am going to read my bible every day and I am going to mediate on the word during my daily commute to and from work and dropping/ picking up the kids.
ReplyDeleteI read daily devotionals and scriptures, but I struggle to open my Bible daily and read it. I struggle to read my Bible consistently, because sometimes I don't have a clear understanding on where to start.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to get into the habit of reading the Word daily. It's one of those things that I know I need to do but I don't want it to be a check mark on my todo list. But I do want to get better at it.
ReplyDeleteSo excited about this new Bible! It's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI was not very consistent in reading my Bible but as of now, I do read it regularly because my aim is to have an intimate relationship that a lot of Christians talk about; I really want to experience it and I believe that in order to achieve this, I must first get to know God and the best way is through His WORD.
ReplyDeleteI don't read the Bible but I do have a daily devotional that I read. Unfortunately I'm a couple days behind on that.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed! I've been digging in a lot lately. Trying to refind ME
ReplyDeleteThe discipline of reading my Bible is so very important to me, but I struggle with waking up each morning to do it. When I do, the time is sweet.
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm fairly consistent with reading the Bible daily. I get up early and make it the first thing I do most mornings.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been reading daily but I'm developing a new habit of doing so.
ReplyDeleteI don't read my Bible daily and I'm not sure what I need besides more discipline to make it happen. I'm so exhausted and scattered all the time that it's hard to focus on anything.
ReplyDeleteI would like to read God's Word more often daily but I would like to find devotionals that really spark my interest and speak to my heart. I think a good devotional would help me read more consistently.
ReplyDeleteI used to not read the Bible daily. I realized I needed a plan. BSF studies helped me stay accountable to going deeper into the Bible and journaling. It became more of personal quiet conversation with God rather than just taking notes over what I was reading.
ReplyDeleteIn the last year I have been more intentional in my study of the Word and am still longing to go deeper in the Word. I am looking for a new study bible. Thank you for the opportunity to enter to win this new bible.
