The new Illustrated Faith kit is out today, which always has me excited. The I Am kit is beautiful!
This kit was inspired by Melisa Garcia who also wrote the devotional booklet. Melisa invites you on a two-week journey to dig deeper into knowing Christ. She leads you to make room for Christ, to take steps in becoming fearless, to speak truth about who you are in Him, to be patient, and to forgive. Melisa says, "...I learned early on that if I wanted to know who I am, I first must know the great I Am. You will know who you are when you recognize whose you are. So that is my call to you."
The I Am kit includes:
1 plastic pouch
1 devotional booklet
1 clear stamp collection
1 roll of washi tape
1 sheet of cut-out paper pieces
2 cardstock sticker sheets
3 tip-ins
1 magnet
1 thank you card from Shanna
The theme of this kit is plum, cream and a deep green in color with roses and palm leaves. The stamps and stickers include sayings like chosen, free, fearless, faithful, beautiful, be still and more. With the colors and design, it is becoming one of my favorites kits. It is simply beautiful.
The 14 day devotions include I Am: fearless, capable, free, enough, daughter, chosen, patient, loved, faithful, peace-filled, purposed, strong, beautiful, and forgiven.
Day 1 and 2 have already spoken deeply to my heart. For most of our marriage, my husband and I have been children's pastors. He leading and me supporting him and doing the behind the scenes stuff. Last year my husband, who also served as our associate pastor, felt God telling him to step out of children's ministry and focus more on the associate side. While I had never lead the ministry alone, I felt God telling me to stay. This was new territory and I was afraid. I didn't feel like I could do this alone, without my husband by my side. Yet, I desperately wanted to be a woman who says "yes" to God and obeys His call. So, I stayed. For a year I have felt doubts and fear. Unsure of doing this alone. Wondering if I am really capable of leading a group of children to Jesus and teaching them to walk with Him. Melisa's devotions have reminded me that God is big and His perfect love expels all fear. She reminded me that I am a fully capable woman of God. He called me, He chose me, He equipped me, He wants me there for such a time as this. I am looking forward to how this devotional is going to change my life and ministry.

Big news! Shanna Noel, creator of Illustrated Faith, has brand new Dayspring cards! These cards are cute and so much fun. They are perfect for sending a fun note to someone. It's always great to receive a fun card just to say "hello." I am excited to use these cards for friends. Our church recently lost several families (we live in a military town and the families are on to their next post) so these cards will be great to send to friends letting them know we love and miss them. Just look how cute they are!
