Bearing with one another and forgiving one another if anyone has a grievance
against another. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you are also to forgive.
Forgiveness can be a tricky thing. Some months back I found out that someone I was very close to was saying hurtful and untrue things about my husband and I. While my husband and I know these things are untrue, we even have proof, the person insists they are right and they continue to talk behind our back.Colossians 3:13
It breaks my heart, but it also makes me angry. Lies and gossip are horrible and can destroy. My husband and I apologized for anything we may have done to upset, offend, or hurt. Our prayer was that by apologizing relationships could be mended. But our apology hit a brick wall. There was no apology back, no acceptance, no reconciliation. At first, I was even angrier. I wanted to take back my apology and hurt them back.
