NOVEMBER POWERSHEETS

I have been a Powersheets user a few years now and love how they help me to cultivate good things in my life. The Powersheets Goal Planner helps me set realistic goals and action steps to help me reach them. I love using Powersheets so much that I am going to start sharing my goals and progress each month! The last Friday of the month I will recap the month and share my goals for the following month. I pray that by sharing, it helps hold me accountable and maybe sparks some ideas for you. I'd love for you to follow along and even share your own goals and progress!

October has been quite a month! My second oldest turned 21, it is something so special seeing your children grow into adulthood. My husband and I welcomed our very first grandbaby and we are loving grandparent life. We enjoyed weekends at the lake, just relaxing, taking walks, playing scrabble, and enjoying the quiet and slower pace of lake life. We also had some hard days. A few flat tires leaving teens stranded, three of my kids' cars blew motors (yep, all in a month's time), my youngest had pneumonia, I had wisdom tooth and pain medication issues that landed me in the ER, and then we had to shut our camper down for the winter. Yep, October was quite the month.

Reflecting on my October goals, I had some really good progress in some areas and other areas I didn't even touch!

October progress:
♦ Faith: I had my daily quiet time of Bible reading and prayer. I worked in my Write the Word journal about 10 times, this is something I want to do daily so I still need to work on this.
♦ Marriage: My husband and I had some wonderful weekends alone at the lake together and had some deep conversations.
♦ Family: We had some wonderful family time. I love having all of my kids home and listening to them talk and interact as young adults! We also enjoyed snuggling our new grandbaby! I want to work on our family photo album, I still haven't gotten very far for 2019 and haven't even started 2020, but I haven't had the time to work on it.
♦ Home: For my home focus, I try to keep my home clean and organized, for the most part I can keep up on this, but it is always a work in progress. I always put water plants as a weekly action item, otherwise I forget and they get thirsty!
♦ Ministry: My children's church got back to normal so I have been working on that. I also have been working on a exciting surprise that kept me super busy with goals and deadlines, thankfully, I hit them each time. I can't wait to share with you what it is! I have not made progress in my women's ministry at church due to covid.
♦ Health: At the beginning of the month I hit my goal of walking at least twice in a week. Then, it got cold -we've had record lows here- and I got lazy. I also missed my vitamins and didn't hit my 80 ounces of water a day quite a bit this month.
♦ Piano: I really wanted to relearn the piano this year. I started 2020 practicing a few times a week but I didn't get very far! I haven't even touched the piano this month.

So you can see there is progress in some areas but not in others. And that is okay! I am celebrating the progress that was made.

November goals:
♦ Faith: Growing in my walk with God is always my most important goal! I want to make sure I intentionally spend time in the Word and prayer every day. I also want to use my Write the Word journal each day and read a devotional. I am going to use the Take Heart: 100 Devotions to Seeing God When Life's Not Okay.
♦ Marriage: My husband and I love weekends at the lake, but since we had to close our camper for the winter, we are planning to have a lunch date each Saturday. This way we still make time to connect. I also plan to ask my husband each week if there is something I can do to help him.
♦ Family: I want to have at least one night where all of my kids -the three that live at home plus my married daughter and her husband and my son's girlfriend- over for dinner and games. A friend recently shared about a scavenger hunt her teens are doing and I would love to do that one weekend!
♦ Home: Of course, water my plants will be a weekly action item!
♦ Ministry: For ministry, I need to check in with my super secret surprise coming. I also need to weekly work on blog posts and my children's ministry.
♦ Health: Even though the temps are dropping I would really like to take a walk twice a week. It always feels good! I want to make sure I hit 80 ounces of water each day and take my vitamins.
♦ Piano: After much thought, I am going to lay this goal down for the rest of 2020. The next two months will be quite busy with the holidays and my secret surprise coming up!

There is my October progress and November goals! Powersheets are a huge help in walking me through each action step throughout the month. If you'd like to purchase a 2021 Powersheets Goal Planner to help you cultivate what matters most, click the banner below.

Here is a little pen test for you! I am slightly obsessed with office supplies, especially pens. I have always used Papermate Flair Felt Tip and Zebra Mildliner Highlighers in my Powersheets and love them! But I decided to give Zebra Sarasa 0.5 20 count pensZebra Sarasa Milk 0.5 8 count pens, and the Cultivate What Matter markers a try. I love them all! As much as I love the Cultivate What Matter markers, I like to use red for marriage goals and there isn't a red so I don't think I will use them. As of now, my plan is to continue with the Papermate Flair Felt Tip and Zebra Mildliner Highlighers and to add the Zebra Sarasa 0.5 20 count pens and Zebra Sarasa Milk 0.5 8 count pens. My pen test picutred below has the name of each pen color for reference.
