What are you passionate about?

Money? Friends? Growing your online following? Following the next big trend? Things? As Christians, our standards need to be different than the world, therefore our passions need to be different.

God wants our passion to be Him and not things of this world. He wants us to live a life that brings glory to Him. People should see us and automatically know there is something different about us. When we live in this way, we are living a life of worship.

In the same way, let your light shine

before men, that they may see your good

deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

Matthew 5:16

To live in this way, letting our light shine before men, we need to come before God daily and worship Him. We need to get to the point where our times of prayer and Bible study are as easy as breathing. We need to get to the point where it's not a check list but a desire, something we are excited about. We need to show our children and others that we are excited about worshiping God.

Let your passion, your desires, be for the Lord, not things of this world.
