WEEKLY BLESSINGS {8/5/24}

Devote yourselves to prayer;
stay alert in it with thanksgiving.
Colossians 4:2 CSB

Colossians tells us two important things: devote ourselves to prayer and be thankful.

Martin Luther once said, "To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing." Prayer is not only important, it is vital. We can't call ourselves a Christian if we aren't spending time in prayer. Thanksgiving is also vital. When we fail to be thankful, we allow the enemy to come in and bring discontentment, jealousy, and cause us to covet.

Let's be people who devote ourselves to prayer and live out thanksgiving. What is something you are thanking God for today?
