WEEKLY BLESSINGS {9/9/24}

He lets me rest in green meadows;

He leads me beside peaceful streams.

Rest. It’s something we all need. Something we all crave. Yet, it’s something we rarely get, or rather, we rarely take.

Rest is something my husband and I have been working on for a few years now, especially this summer. Being intentional with relaxing. Whether it’s swaying in the hammock, sitting on the deck in the evening and talking, going on a walk, reading, fishing, or -for my husband- doing small tasks around the house or working in the garage. We are learning to prioritize rest. 

Out of everything we do to purposely rest, the best rest comes from God. When we place our hearts in His hands, when we trust Him, when we let Him lead us, we find a beautiful, peaceful rest.

3735. My sweet youngest grandbaby who celebrates his 1st birthday this week. I cannot believe he is already 1!

3736. Friday evening spent with my husband. We went on a walk that led us to some shopping, dinner, and wonderful time together.

3737. My father-in-law who always makes a point to come visit even though he’s three hours away.

3738. Decorating for fall, my favorite season.

3739. Relaxing on the deck in beautiful weather.
