Average Joe opens in theaters today and this is a movie you don't want to miss!
Average Joe is the true story of Joe Kennedy. Joe had a rough life growing up in foster care, then later spent 20 years in the Marine Corps, but none of that compared to his biggest battle: his commitment to stand for God publicly.
After his time in the Marine Corps, Joe begrudgingly became a high school football coach. Once he finally submitted, knowing this is what God had, he promised to give thanks after every game where he took a knee right on the 50 yard line in prayer. This was not welcomed nor accepted by the school and Joe lost his job.
Joe and his wife, Denise, knew they had a battle on their hands for religious freedom, freedom of speech, and the rights of Americans. They knew they had to fight this battle, no matter what the cost would be.
I will tell you there are a few curse words, which I really wish would have been left out, and in the opening scene we see a man (Joe) in his underwear, which he explains why. But overall, this movie is incredible. It teaches us how to stand up for what we believe in and for our freedoms.
Average Joe is from the director and producers of God’s Not Dead and the producers of The Blind, so you know it's going to be a good one!
